Transformation is the key word in taking the worst house on the block and turning the two units into one for a family. This Monarch Butterfly EcoHome is designed for a parent or grandparent to live on the first floor and the family to live upstairs. We combined two rooms to make a large kitchen and open floor plan into the living room.  With three bedrooms upstairs and two full baths it is convenient for everyone.  The third floor boasts a fun room, family room or a man cave. We included energy-efficiency throughout with a tankless water heater along with a high efficiency furnace to lower the family utility costs. The interior and exterior consist of recycled, sustainable and reclaimed materials throughout the design.  No detail was left undone with the beautiful exterior and plants that will bring butterflies all year long.
